Feedrise is committed to operating with transparency, integrity, and accountability to the donors, volunteers, partners, and neighbors we serve. The information below summarizes our legal status and our commitments as a charitable organization.
1. Legal Status
Feedrise Inc. is a nonprofit corporation incorporated in the State of Texas and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charitable organization. Our mission is to fight hunger by providing hot, nutritious meals and essential food assistance to homeless individuals and families in need throughout the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
2. Tax Deductibility of Contributions
Contributions to Feedrise Inc. are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by United States law. Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of giving, no goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any particular gift.
3. Use of Funds
Donations support meal preparation, grocery care, mobile food kitchens, transportation, food sourcing, volunteer programs, and the modest operating expenses required to sustain reliable food delivery across North Texas. Feedrise works to maximize the share of every dollar that reaches the table.
4. Governance
Feedrise is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that oversees strategy, finances, and compliance. The Board adopts and reviews policies covering conflicts of interest, document retention, whistleblower protections, and donor privacy.
5. Donor Bill of Rights
Feedrise honors the Donor Bill of Rights. Donors have the right to be informed of our mission and the intended use of contributions, to receive timely acknowledgments, to expect that gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given, and to have personal information handled with respect and confidentiality.
6. Public Records
Copies of our IRS determination letter and most recent annual Form 990 are available on request by emailing contact@feedrise.org. We will provide these documents in accordance with applicable federal and Texas state requirements.
7. Fundraising Practices
Feedrise does not sell or rent donor information. We solicit support honestly and only through channels that comply with applicable charitable solicitation laws. If you believe you have received an unauthorized solicitation in our name, please contact us so we can investigate.
