Feedrise Inc. ("Feedrise," "we," "us," or "our") is a Texas nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) charitable organization headquartered in Dallas, Texas. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit feedrise.org, donate, volunteer, or otherwise interact with our programs, how we use and protect that information, and the choices you have about it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate our charitable programs:
- Information you give us. Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, region within the DFW Metroplex, and any messages you send through volunteer, contact, or partnership forms.
- Donation information. When you donate, our payment processors collect billing details and payment instrument information on our behalf. Feedrise stores only the donation amount, date, donor name, and contact details required to issue tax receipts and acknowledge your gift. We never store full payment card numbers.
- Automatically collected information. Limited technical data such as browser type, device, referring page, and approximate location, collected to keep the site secure and to understand how visitors engage with our mission.
2. How We Use Information
- To coordinate volunteer shifts, meal distribution, and community programs.
- To process donations and provide official tax acknowledgments.
- To respond to inquiries from donors, partners, media, and the public.
- To send mission updates, event invitations, and impact reports to people who have asked to hear from us. You can opt out of these communications at any time.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and lawful operation of our website.
3. How We Share Information
Feedrise does not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Trusted vendors that help us operate, such as payment processors, email delivery, hosting, and analytics providers, are bound to handle information only for purposes we authorize.
- Legal compliance. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of our staff, volunteers, or the people we serve.
- Organizational changes. In the unlikely event of a merger with another charitable entity, information may be transferred subject to this policy.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure aggregate traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not function without them.
5. Data Retention and Security
We keep personal information only as long as needed to support our mission, comply with tax and recordkeeping obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, although no system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
6. Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
